Richland Memorial Hospital, a predecessor of Prisma Health, began with a vision that changed a community. From humble beginnings to today, the Richland Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees' dream to promote high-quality, compassionate health care lives on, stronger than ever.
Our Strategic Initiative
The Richland Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees is firmly committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all Richland County residents. The Board is acutely aware of the county's healthcare status and the significant disparities that impact our communities. Inequity of health care access, prevention, and treatment affects a wide range of health risks and outcomes.
In response, the Board has adopted a strategic initiative aimed at improving the healthcare status and reducing healthcare disparities throughout Richland County. The Board’s primary strategic initiative will provide grant opportunities to qualifying organizations that provide services in Richland County focused on:

Metabolic Syndrome
with a focus on pre-diabetes, diabetes, hypertension and/or obesity

Immunizations
for priority and underserved populations like older adults and rural communities

Telemedicine
to create greater access for screenings, diagnosis, treatment and health literacy
